about
This is an early seven inches song, written by the original lineup (me, Shauny Day and Alice Hubley), now radically reworked by Ste McCabe. The original had some quirky tempo changes which prompted some wry remarks when I introduced it as a song to dance to ("it's impossible to dance to"). No such problems with this version. I sent Ste a rough demo, he quickly sent his version back to me, lead vocals and all, which knocked me out, then I went over to his flat in Manchester to re-record it. I got Shaun to add the trimmings, including that synth line that Shaun wrote for the original incarnation of the song. Another hit in the bag thanks to the towering talents and generousity of these two behemoths of rock (particularly the incredibly ace Ste McCabe)
