about

Token Fuzzy Rocker
I studied the Arab-Israeli conflict as the 20th Century history module of my GCSE history. During the time we were studying it, the Oslo agreement happened and we were all instructed to watch Rabin and Arafat shaking hands on TV when we got home. I'm sure I remember a mood of guarded but geniune optimism about this, and the fall of the Berlin Wall, and the end of Apartheid, and –much later- the fall of John Major's Government. This is a lament for lost optimism.
